Information Sent Directly
Search entries
A name, location, or other term entered into a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Wilkes County Busted Mugshots does not store or maintain a log of those search terms on its own systems.
Messages
An email or contact message is kept as needed to read, respond, and maintain the conversation. It is not shared outside the operating organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal demand.
Technical Details Collected
Like most public web pages, a visit can generate ordinary technical information used for security, performance, and basic measurement:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on each
- Referring page or site, when supplied
- Date and time stamps
Cookies and similar tools
Cookies may help understand how visitors use the resource or keep a feature working. Browser settings can block or delete them. A blocked cookie may make a feature behave differently.
How Information Is Used
- Keep the pages available, secure, and responsive.
- Send a search request to the provider selected for that tool.
- Learn which pages are useful and where visitors encounter trouble.
- Find and correct technical defects.
- Display advertising that may be matched to general interests.
Links to Other Services
Pages link to government resources such as the Wilkes County Sheriff's Office, the Georgia Department of Corrections, Georgia Courts, federal locators, archives, local news, and outside search providers. After a visitor follows a link, that destination's privacy notice and data practices control.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites or deliver interest-based advertising. Those actions occur under the partner's controls, not this resource's direct page systems.
Who May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold by Wilkes County Busted Mugshots. Information may nevertheless reach the following parties as part of normal operation:
- Search partners that receive submitted queries.
- Analytics providers that measure page use.
- Advertising networks and their service providers.
- Law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order or other lawful demand.
Security Limits
Reasonable security practices are used for internet services, but no connected system is completely secure. No promise is made that transmission, storage, or an outside provider will be breach-proof.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, a parent or guardian may use the Get in Touch route to request that it be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
Your Privacy Choices
- Ask what personal data is held about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Ask for deletion where retention is not required.
- Opt out of certain processing when the applicable provider offers that choice.
Requests can be sent through the Get in Touch page. A request involving an outside search provider, government office, news outlet, or court must be directed to that organization as well.
Changes to This Notice
Privacy practices may change as tools, vendors, or legal requirements change. A revised notice will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means the revised practices apply from that point forward.
